Because Halloween is the holiday they most look forward to, or maybe even dread, especially for Shaggy and Scooby, Mystery Inc. The two are forced to face their worries once again when they find themselves locked in the castle. They will never feel safe again because they won't be able to get out of the situation without your support and they won't be able to do so.
If you want to succeed in the game, you need to get to the door that leads to the next area or level, but getting there won't be easy. Maybe if you interact with items or people around you, you will be able to find your way through these obstacles and pitfalls.
For example, pulling a lever up will cause the spikes to disappear from their respective positions. Each level consists of several stages, usually numbered around three, and each stage introduces a new set of gameplay characteristics and progressively increases the difficulty of the level.
